Quick change discs

Whether in sandpaper or fibre, quick-change discs perfectly fulfil the function of finishing surfaces when an operation needs to be carried out intensively and in record time. With them we can achieve an unbeatable quality in roughing work.

Types of quick-change sanding discs

The quick-change sanding discs are made with the highest quality bonding between their backings, which allows for ideal time efficiency during operation. A cuttable plastic backing allows it to last five to ten times longer than cloth or vulcanised fibre backings. Because of this extended durability, quick-change discs are often the most economical and efficient choice.

Our discs are micro bonded and adhesive based, so they are quick to change and very safe for your operators. They can be made of different types of mineral such as aluminium oxide, ceramic, carbide and zirconia fibre.

Quick change grinding discs made of zirconia are very useful for grinding steel, stainless steel, welding or casting. Therefore, they are popular in the metalworking, stainless steel, foundry and mould making industries.

Quick change discs made of silicon carbide are useful for sanding stone, concrete, glass, fibreglass, cast iron, ceramics, marble and rubber.

How to use quick-change discs

For the protection of your operators, our quick-change discs lock securely in place with only half a turn. When rotated again, with another half turn, they will automatically switch off.

These discs are designed to be easily and quickly discarded and replaced during the course of your operation, avoiding waiting time between changes. They provide a fast and efficient method of grinding, mixing and levelling all types of metal.

Quick change discs are used on manual or portable pneumatic or electric grinders, polishers or motortools. The pneumatic ones use an air compressor with sufficient power to achieve the necessary speed to carry out their operation. Quick change discs can also be used on a polishing machine that provides a variable speed.

Grit type in abrasives

The grit type of our sandpaper will generate a specific result depending on the grit type chosen. Coarser grits are represented by smaller numbers and are for detail and hard surfaces. On the other hand, coarser grits have higher numbers and are often the best choice for fast sanding and large surfaces.
